Tracing Intricacies

20.03.24 — 06.04.24

Wellington selling exhibition featuring artists Kate van der Drift, Connah Podmore, Karen Rubado, and Helen Reynolds.

Tracing Intricacies brings together four artists who use different mediums to visualise the fleeting and invisible. Kate van der Drift’s work captures the life and pollutants of Piako River, Karen Rubado’s loom work reflects the delicate balance between form and potential collapse, Connah Podmore’s charcoal drawings showcase the beauty and complexity of domestic space and motherhood, and Helen Reynolds’ paintings explore the repetition of a serpentine line to build focus and scale. From the large and immersive to the small and intimate, each work provides a unique way to experience the familiar materials and line of enquiry which draws these artists back time and again .
