The Estate | 7—11 March

Bidding is closing on The Estate, our ever-changing, get-it-before-it-is-gone treasure trove of antiques, mid-century and contemporary design.

The grounding presence of a sideboard is something every interior should consider and this catalogue features a few remarkable ones, including a Rosando Brothers piece taking centre stage.

No respectable mid-century home would be complete without Eames and in this catalogue we have plenty, including original high back lounger, and DSS chairs.

While fans of the playful designs of Marcel Wanders should check out this pair of ‘Cyborg’ chairs, among others.

Of course, we continue to bring an exciting range of kitchenalia including teapots and kettles, fruit bowls and more.

Explore the full catalogue online, visit us at our Mount Eden Gallery to see these items in person, and place your highest bids now.

The Estate | 21 - 25 March

Entries are invited for our upcoming iteration of The Estate, Webb's fortnightly menagerie of all things design.

With a focus on vintage objects for residential settings — or for commercial spaces with a residential feel — The Estate is on the lookout for furniture, rugs, lighting, silver, ceramics, glassware, decor and the like.

Our clients are particularly interested in mid-century design as well as original furniture and lighting from recognisable designers and brands. Likewise, objects of rarity and quirk, antiques and vintage as well as contemporary objects tend to sell well at auction.

Our team of specialists are dedicated to ensuring a hassle-free process that seeks the highest possible return for any item consigned to us. Please get in touch to discuss how we can best assist you in finding a new home for your objects or collections.

Clearing out the storage unit? Switching up your interior aesthetic? Inherited a lamp, vase or set of silverware and not sure what it's worth? The Estate team always welcomes fresh consignments and would be happy to take a look at what you're looking to sell.

While we consign a wide variety of items there are certain eras, styles and design names that are particularly popular with buyers. Here are a few examples of goods we would love to see more of:

  1. Quality examples of Mid-Century furniture, lighting and home décor.

  2. Vintage and contemporary furniture from designer names such as Vitra, B&B Italia, Cassina, Ligne Roset, Kartell, Knoll, and Simon James

  3. Sterling silver items including teapots, servingware and decorative objects

  4. Antique French furniture

  5. Hand knotted vintage rugs

  6. Examples of New Zealand Studio Ceramics and Glass

  7. Unique, rare and unusual items

If you have any of the above we would love to offer you a complimentary appraisal—you never know what sort of treasure you might be sitting on.
