Webb's first Asian Art Live Auction of the year is now accepting post auction offers on items that did not reach their reserve.

Among its delightful items are porcelain, ceramics, paintings and scrolls, textiles and robes, cloisonné, jade, carvings, decorative objects, furniture, and much more.

The New Zealand auction market has seen surging interest in the extraordinary quality, beauty and history of Asian art. Recent auction highlights include a 19th Century Chuba Robe, which achieved a phenomenal $53,775 (with an estimate of $5,000 - $10,000), and a pair of large Chinese early 20th century vases which eclipsed their $1,000 - $1,300 estimate to sell for $9,858.

Recent auction highlights include a pair of Chinese Yellow Ground Green ‘Dragon’ Cups, which sold for $4,445, along with a Chinese Clair-de-Lune Vase with two handles, which achieved $4,805.

A standout item at our 2021 Asian Art Live auction was the Chinese Early Republic Period Famille Rose and Iron Red ‘Figural’ Square Vase with dragon handles (Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi Mark). This stunning piece found a buyer at $10,812. The body of the vase was decorated with four panels, depicting scenes of scholars appreciating nature.
